Learning, Learning, Learning--

I would hereby like to cordially invite you to check out my group's wiki : http://bb-clarion.sytec.passhe.edu/webapps/portal/frameset.jsp?tab=courses&url=/bin/common/course.pl?course_id=_10645_1.

On the wiki you will find a quick bio of each of the biology group members, our philosophy, and a page of links we think would be helpful to science educators.

Any feedback is certainly very welcome!

Hope you're all having a great week!

The reason behind the creation of this blog is to attempt to incorporate it into my classroom at some point. In my opinion, they truly support active learning. I've also thought about "buddying up" with another teacher in another school and linking our students to widen the circle. What I fear, however, is the ability to monitor the material. How would a teacher be able to monitor the information 24-7?
I find myself wondering, however, are wikis and blogs suitable substitutes for collaborative learning in the classroom?

First timer

Hello all, and welcome to my bioblog!

This blog was created as part of an education class I'm taking this summer. Please keep in mind that this is absolutely a work in progress, so please be patient!

The photos that (you should) see were taken a few years ago in my SFU Biology days. I thought it might make this a little more personal....Enjoy!
